Only He Smiles
Three men
In white coats
With black guns
And white boats
Arrived
At a new world
Of old tales
About brave men
Who craved the Grail;
Amused
The men laughed
And took an axe
To the holy bark
And carved
The tree
Impressed & shocked
The 300 natives stopped
Most burst in applause
And few dared to cross
The men
The crowd lifted them
And brung 'em to their king
Whom the men robbed
To his very last thing;
He died
And soon the land flourished
Under the might of men
Old structures now demolished;
The egg without it's hen;
It changed
The birds still sang their tunes
And flowers did still bloom
But the land wasn't the same
For the forgotten tales;
The truth
Is that the men are now long gone;
Fell like towers; withered like leaves
In the need of hour
The natives took the axe
To claim their lost power
They split the tree in half;
And Dante smiled from his circles
